Known mostly for her bassy rap beats, and for sharing selfies through social media; Niki Minaj treated herself to a rather unique Italian sports car on her 31st birthday.

The $400,000 candy pink Lamborghini Aventador is exactly the type of car you'd expect to see the Barbie-loving Minaj roll up in, but she still made quite a splash when she debuted it at the release of her eponymous clothing line at Walmart early last year.

It's definitely only a slight addition to her already impressive vehicle lineup, which includes a $1,000,000 pink Barbie-Bentley and equally pinked-out Range Rover Sport.

Critical reception not all positive

The car has caused quite a stir with fans, and it isn't all positive. Many a critic has shared their contempt toward Minaj for destroying a perfect car with the outlandish paint job, and by defacing the custom-outfitted Forgiato rims with the same Pepto Bismol-esque color.

Motoramic blogger Alex Lloyd advised people to Never sell a car to Niki Minaj. Unless you want it completely ruined.

Critics don't bother the former American Idol judge and latest Walmart fashionista.

As she sings in one of her many hit songs Super-Bass:

""I am Nicki Minaj, I mack them dudes up. Back coupes up and chuck the deuce up.""

Minaj backs up the same devil-may-care attitude she exhibits in her songs in every aspect of her life.

Her choice in paint schemes is just one of many outrageous characteristics!

The Car

The pink Aventador is all about the flash. However, what you can't see is what gives the gear heads of the world goose bumps:

Successor to the famed Lamborghini Murcielago Body design inspired by the US F-22 Raptor stealth fighter jet 6.5L mid-engine V12 engine  7-speed single clutch, semi-auto transmission 690 Hp / 690 lb-ft (wow!) 0-60 in 2.9sec (double wow!)

The Aventador has received praise for beating out the prestigious Bugatti Veyron Super Sport at the track, and destroying times posted by nearly every modern super car on the planet, including the uber-fast Ferrari Enzo and Porsche 911 GT3!

What's Next Niki?

There's no telling what the rap star, fashion mogul, and social media stunner is going to do next. We're sure whatever it is, it will surely involve the color pink!
