What does the perfect race car look like?
Sergio Rinland is a famous Argentinian engineer best known for his work in Formula One. According to Sergio Rinland, he and his Dunlop Team, they have gotten much closer to the answer than anyone else.
In their vision, the perfect circuit car, the Dunlop Future Race Car resembles a streamlined F1 car mixed with touches of a Star Wars racer, having an enclosed canopy without big wings.
Their concept: 4 Engines! One in each tire. 4 electric engines powered by a small hydrogen fuel cell generator and an even smaller lithium ion battery acting as a power buffer.
On the straights this aerodynamic design will increase to top speeds, while downforce is created in corners using piezoelectric panels in the bodywork. Drag is reduced further by eliminating mirrors while cameras positioned around the car show images to the driver in the cockpit (or to a heads-up display in the helmet) to give full 360-degree vision.
